KidsWorld (Children’s Ministry) Addition
This 11-month project began June 2008. Exciting new
features include worship spaces for our 3 and 4th graders
and 5th and 6th graders. Both these rooms have prayer rooms
incorporated into the space so we can teach our children the
importance of prayer. Security has been planned along with
new checkpoints for parents who are checking in children.
The first floor addition will include specially designed
space for 2 and 3-year olds. This will allow Pre-K and
Kindergarten to expand on the upper floors the current
children building. Additionally, we will have a new special
needs room on the main floor to accommodate our special
friends.
-
Playground Removal
For the safety of all children, the playground will be
removed for the duration of the KidsWorld building
construction. We apologize for any inconvenience. The
playground will reopen when the building is complete.
-
New Road to East 86th St.
This four-month project will improve our congested
traffic flow on Sundays, increase safety for pedestrians,
and heighten the visibility of our ministry in Castleton.
The new road will exit next to Costco on 86th Street. Once
the new road is installed, you will be able to go from E91
to Corporate Park or to East 86th Street. Estimated
completion date: October 1.
-
Back Gate/Road Closure
In order to allow for the KidsWorld building construction
and placement of the new road, our back gate and the road
leading to it will be closed at all times except Sunday
mornings. The back gate will continue to remain closed
during the construction of the children’s addition. We will
have limited parking in the small back lot, with the
majority of it designated for the handicapped and those with
special needs.
Phase 3 Construction
Remaining project dreams include constructing new Student
Ministry space and adding more space for adults. This
project is in the initial planning stages.
